How can we help?

We can advise you on what the law says and how it will affect you.  We can explain the process and what everything means.  We can help you complete forms and assist with writing letters.  We can also help with preparing you case for court.  We can see if you are entitled to any benefits or waivers which may reduce the cost of filing court forms.  Should you need to attend court we can apply to assist you as a Mackenzie Friend.  This means we can go to Court with you and help by taking notes, sorting papers/ legal bundles and generally assist you in presenting your case for divorce Southampton.

Unlike Solicitors and Barristers we have no automatic rights of audience before the court.  However, with the judge’s permission we can be in court with you and if necessary speak on your behalf.  This is always down to each individual judge.  Instances where this more likely to be granted is when we work with vulnerable people or someone who would not otherwise be able to present their case to the court.

Why use us for divorce southampton advice?

We charge less than a high street solicitor and if we attend court with you we can agree a fixed price in advance which will include time, travailing and expenses.

David, is a registered Paralegal.  He has a Law degree and also took an option module in Family Law.  He has personal experience in the Family Courts having represented himself at the Principle Registry of the Family Court and in the Family Division of the High Court in London.  So he will have a good understanding of what you face and how it might affect you.

Just like a Solicitor David will always behave professionally and without bias or prejudice.  If at any time it is felt that your case has complications that are not within David’s expertise then he will suggest and if required, arrange an appointment with a Solicitor for you (this appointment is not included in our fees).  There are a number of Solicitors in the Poole and Bournemouth area who David has dealt with and who he can recommend.
